My Approach
I value the opportunity to assist mission-driven organizations. If your non-profit or collective is stuck, disorganized, or otherwise in the doldrums, I can help. Writing and editing are all about untangling a messy collection of ideas and inclinations, and I can do the same for group dynamics and processes. The skills I've gained in communications—interviewing, clarifying, organizing, and documenting—lend themselves well to assessing how an organization might improve its operations and empowering teams to grow and thrive.
Projects
THE JANE FUND OF CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS
As interim executive director, I contributed communications strategy during a time of change and transition. I also led collaborations with allied organizations, updated the board and grantors on key areas of progress, and handled a wide range of operational tasks.
VERMONT ACCESS TO REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM
After interviews with past, current, and emerging board members, I built a comprehensive manual that details roles, responsibilities, and opportunities for effectiveness and growth. The manual also included a series of contextualized action items. In addition, I provided guiding questions for board retreats and ongoing reflection.
